Proposal

1. Felling and removal of 3 dead birch trees, average diameter 450mm, on the east perimeter. Trees have not leafed in the year and tree brash is falling 2. Felling and removal of 3 dead sycamore tree, varying diameter c. 300mm to 600mm, in the southeast corner of the church yard, adjacent to Abberton Hall. Trees have not come into leaf and brash is falling. 3. Felling and removal of dying yew tree, diameter c.400mm, in the southeast corner of the churchyard, adjacent to Abberton Hall. Whilst there is some greenery on the tree, it appears to be fading. Removing it will allow more light to get to the yew tree behind it hopefully allowing it to grow more positively. 4. Pollard and reduce height of yew tree by 1/3 in the centre of the churchyard, just east of the footpath from the main gate to the church. Tree has several dead bows, denoted by red arrows, which require removal and it is hoped the pollarding of the remainder of the tree will encourage growth. 5. Pollarding and reduction in height of sycamore tree by 1/3, on south boundary due south of church door, diameter c. 600mm, which appears to be dying. The reduction in height and removal of dead branches are hoped to encourage growth. 6. Felling and removal of 1 dead sycamore tree, diameter c. 400mm, on the southern boundary of the church yard, adjacent to Abberton Hall. Tree has not come into leaf and brash is falling. Undertake tree works as detailed on application form and in any accompanying information.
