The proposals will require the removal of B grade trees T1516, T1525, T1526, T1532 and C grade trees T1514, T1515 and T1528note these are Stantec survey reference numbers, the area TPO doesnt appear to have individually numbered trees that we are aware of, as well as approximately six smaller Sycamore and Hazel within the woodland Please refer to document TPO Technical Note Waterworks Road for further information and figures. Southern Water are undertaking works to install the Southampton Link Main pipeline, a part of the Water for Life Hampshire programme, Hampshire Grid. An online search will provide background information on Southern Waters website. Winchester City Council have reviewed the scheme as part of an EIA Screening Opinion WCC reference 24_00482_SCREEN which deemed the project was Not EIA Development. As a result, the project is largely being delivered under statutory undertaker permitted development rights. For the works at this location, Southern Water are proposing to widen the existing access track and reinforce it using crushed stone, similar to the existing construction, to make it suitable for site vehicles in order to access an intermediate tunnel shaft forming part of a tunnel from Otterbourne Road to a playing field just outside Otterbourne Water Supply Works. The largest vehicle to access the area via the haul road through the woodland TPO will be a low loader with the TBM, tunnel boring machine on it, the length is 18.1m. There will be a number of other deliveries of construction materials such as concrete, grout, shaft rings, jacking pipes (these will be delivered on rigid 3 or 4 axle lorries. There will also be a number of loads of muckaway 20t tipper vehicles. 5m height clearance from ground level will need to be provided.
