Proposal
This sycamore is part of a line of self-set trees in the fence line between the Laboratory Spa and Gym and the North Service Yard of Alexandra Palace. The specimen closest to the Palace building (DBH 54cm, height 15m+) prevents safety inspections of the adjacent wall by cherry picker. The proposal is to remove the side branches of T1 on the ‘southern side’ to allow access for MEWP inspections and prevent future damage to the building. This is the side closest to the Palace building. The branches are various sizes up to 20cm diameter”. The chippings and cord-wood will be kept on site as dead wood. The North Service Yard is not open to the public. An appointment will be required if a site visit is required to view the tree. Contact the Head of Alexandra Park.
