Proposal
T1 Poplar: Has a hollow trunk when probed from ground level up to at least 3m. We were unable to ascertain exact dimensions of the cavity but it is substantial. The tree is currently approximately 9m tall and has been previously pollarded at approximately 6m. We propose that this tree is mololithed at approximately 3.5m from ground level to reduce any stress loading at the base and retain the main trunk as habitat. T2 Poplar: This is the larger of the two trees and has a significant lean and basal cavity with clear evidence of decay. There are several unidentified fungal brackets located within the cavity. The tree is approx 12m tall and has been previously pollarded at approximately 6m. We recommend that this tree is taken down to a 2m stump and retained as habitat. T3 Oak: Small Oak tree adjacent to Poplar, to crown lift by up to 3m to maintain trees crown within proximity to surroundings.
