Proposal
(Amended)Two sycamores adjacent to 110 Christchurch Road are overhanging the boundary of that property. T1 has begun to make contact with the roof of the property, and this will, in time, lead to structural damage. A building survey prior to the purchase of the property indicated that this also causes ventilation problems and may lead to damp issues. T2 blocks light to the property. It is proposed, therefore, that both trees are reduced back to the boundary. The trees are in the owership of Network Rail, and Network Rail has indicated that we may prune the trees back to the boundary in accordance with common law.Accordingly, the western aspect of T1 will be reduced by approximately 4.5m and the western aspect of T2 will be reduced by approximately 3m. In both cases, this will be to a maximum height of 10 m from the base of the house, this will allow sufficient clearance between the apex of the house and the lower crown. Pruning cuts will not exceed a nominal 50mm diameter (allowing leeway for suitable growth point cuts). The pruning work will be carried out from a MEWP, by a qualified arborist to BS3998:2010. All arisings will be chipped into a trailer for removal from the site, and subsequent recycling for use as planting mulch. The work will be carried out by an experienced team, which holds ?10million in public liability insurance. Mistakenly wrote that the western aspect of tree 1 and tree 2 would be reduced, when in fact the crown on the eastern aspect of both trees will be reduced.
