Proposal
T30 - Robinia pseudoacacia 'Frisia':Fell ground level -due to significant basal decay (see decay investigation report) and suspected root plate dysfunction. Multiple clusters of Coprinus sp. fruiting bodies have been observed growing from root buttresses and the root plate. There have been several large limbs decline and subsequently removed as deadwood, and several branch failures over the past 4 years. Stability testing has been considered but due to limitations of the equipment it is not considered possible to test the tree sufficiently. The tree overhangs a residential building and in consideration of the life stage, targets and the poor condition of the basal stem along with the concern for root plate dysfunction it is considered necessary to remove the tree. Two trees should be replanted as mitigation for the removal.Stump grind/remove - following tree removal.Plant replacement tree - X2 (species to be agreed) during the first planting season (September to April) following tree removal.
