T2 Sequoia, prune back extended lower crown, (at approx. 14m height) to South and South West over footpath, crown spread at this level is approx. 8m from stem, prune back 2m to reduce end weight loading. Thin out tips of branches approx. 30% where weight loading is deemed to be excessive. T3 Sequoia, prune back lower crown to South, (at approx. 14m height) there is one main branch overextended toward public footpath, prune back this branch 2.5-3m again crown spread on this side is approx. 8m. Thin out tips of branches approx. 30% where weight loading is deemed to be excessive. T4 Sequoia, thin out branch tips by 30% to reduce loading and therefore reduce chance of breakout in extreme weather. All three Sequoias are being aerially crown inspected and deadwooded as part of a maintenance programme, residents have reported breakages from the crowns as a result of high winds. There is at least one hanging branch and one split branch in the crowns of T2+3, work is primarily to remove potentially dangerous branches and reduce risk to persons in proximity to these trees.
