Proposal

Observation requested by Marine Management Organisation for SineQN wish to route 4No. ducts to accommodate High Voltage cables over the existing River Lea Service Bridge. The ducts will be installed at floor level within the existing bridge's trusses, with 2No. ducts being installed per truss. In order to reduce the loading on the bridge so the ducts can be accommodated the existing asphalt surfacing installed along the central carriage way shall be removed and replaced with a thinner deck coating system. In addition to the works described above the bridge's existing structural steelwork will be repainted along with the newly installed ducts and their support steelwork. The Blue Bridge is located on the River Lea, East London, just South of the A13 road crossing. The bridge spans between the London Borough of Newham (East) and Tower Hamlets (West).
