Proposal
We are requesting consent to remove the Lawson Cypress tree located approximately 1 metre from the front entrance of our property, which is in the Swann Lane/Hulme Hall Road/Hill Top Avenue Conservation Area. HAR/CA26.The tree is in an unsuitable location, being in close proximity to the water meter and foul water drain. We have already experienced drain blockages caused by root ingress, and United Utilities have recently attended to clear roots from the system (image attached).Lawson Cypress is a fast-growing species and if left to mature, we believe it would present an ongoing risk of damage to both our services and our (and our neighbour's) property.
