Proposal
None of these trees is protected by a TPO. We have spoken to a local tree surgeon who has recently done some other work at the property.Tree 1. This is large conifer, which is growing out of the drive adjacent to the wall. It is damaging both the drive and the wall and also prevents large delivery vehicles from entering the rest of the drive beyond Corhampton Court. (The rest of the drive gives access to the Old Stables, The Mews, Holly Lodge, The Flat and Corhampton House). We propose to remove it completely including grinding down the stump and repairing the drive. Trees 2, 3 and 5 are also large conifers between the our front lawn and the wall which are damaging the wall. We propose to remove these 3 trees also. Tree 4. Is a large self-sown sycamore tree growing out of our lawn. We propose to remove this completely. Tree 6. Is an old ornamental cherry tree, of which several boughs and the trunk are diseased and endangering the passing traffic on the B3035 and also risk bringing down the telephone cables which run between the higher branches. We propose to remove this completely.
