Proposal
Tree T1 (Oak)- The height and radial spread should be reduced by up to 3 metres by selectively thinning out the longer regrowth. Drop crotch pruning techniques should be used where branches are cut back to a side branch or union no less than one third of the diameter of the branch being cut. Branches removed should be no more than 10cm in diameter where they are cut and preferably less than 8cm.The lower canopy should be crown lifted to approximately 5-6 metres by removing the downward growing, low hanging branches with cuts no greater than 8cm in diameter. The epicormic growth on the trunk should be removed to leave a clear stem up to the crown break.
