Proposal
T1 Gleditsia pseudo acacia - this tree is 10m in height and significant growth is over a wall. The neighbours are asking for it to be reduced as it is a very thorny tree. There is a union at the base of the trunk making it a 'duel stem' in effect. A 3m reduction of the canopy or to nearest healthy growth points, plus removal of deadwood would help alleviate any further weakness. The tree would be 7m in height. Currently the width is 7m at the widest point and a reduction of 1.5 will balance the tree, leaving the width at 5.5m T2 Hawthorn - this tree is 8m in height and growing very close to an old wall. It is situated in a bed of soil slightly higher than the garden; the soil erosion is exposing the roots. A 2m crown reduction and shape would benefit the health of this tree. The width is currently 4m and would be reduced my 1m, leaving the remaining width at 3m
