Proposal
Tree number one is a beech tree (Tree 0217 at SE5777484405). It is very close to a Grade One Listed Temple within the Terrace complex. This tree is suffering from two different fungi infections at its base. Our intention therefore is to carry out a 3 metre crown reduction this winter. This hopefully will reduce the stress on the main trunk from the effect of strong winds. Also in the event of the tree falling it hopefully would not impact the listed structure once a reduction has been undertaken. Tree number two is also a beech tree (SE 57768 84411). This tree is also very close to the same Grade One listed building. The tree has a hollow in the main trunk. The tree also has a visible lean towards the Temple. Again our intention is to carry out a 3 metre crown reduction so that if the tree does fail, it will not impact the Temple.
