Proposal
I am seeking consent to remove one yew tree from my garden, which is covered by a Tree Preservation Order (N751). I have eleven yew trees in total, and this particular tree is causing structural issues. Specifically, its roots are pushing over an adjacent retaining wall. The tree in question is immediately to the south of my garden path. It is very close to another of the yew trees, and due to the dense canopy and positioning of these trees, the removal of this single tree would not result in a noticeable change to the overall visual amenity of the area. The canopy would continue to provide the same level of coverage and screening, preserving the character and appearance of the site.I have included photographs and a site plan to illustrate the proximity of the tree to the wall, the current state of the wall, and the surrounding tree canopy.
