Halo thinning around veteran trees. Pruning to maintain paths and rides. Coppicing small coupes where sycamore and hazel will be the main species cut. Retaining standing and fallen dead wood where safe to do so, including ash. When trees are coppiced the stools need to be and will be protected from deer browsing. Where there is a limited understorey, appropriate native shrubs will be planted. Where trees are felled replacements will be planted if natural regeneration is likely to be insufficient to maintain the current woodland density.
