Approximate location

Proposal

This is a maiden Eucalyptus tree (T1) with a DBH of c800mm and a top height of c27m. The basal section of the main trunk has historic damage with a large area of rotten heartwood exposed. Signs of root die-back evident with saproxylic fungi (Leratiomyces ceres) fruiting bodies tracing out dead roots. The presence of significant dead and rotten heartwood in the base of the main trunk, evidence of saproxylic fungi in root array and large sail effect of canopy, make this tree a significant hazard to the adjacent garage/office and to public using this and adjacent gardens. This application is to permit the felling of this tree to ground level.
