To strip and re-slate the rear elevations. Strip existing roof tiles and set aside, salvage tiles, ridge and valley for re-use. Strip felt and battens and dispose, fix TLX Thinsulate multi foil insulation and felt. Fix tanalised 25mm x 38 mm batten. Re-fix salvaged tiles, ridge and valley tiles, making up deficiency with a good quality secondhand peg tile to match. Fix lead soakers, cover flashings, aprons and back gutters, wedged, oiled and pointed on completion to chimney stacks. Bed all ridge and bonnet hip slates using a lime mortar mix as recommended by the lime centre in Winchester. All nails used will be galvanised or aluminium
