Proposal
Remove the existing fireplaces in the lounge and dining room on the ground floor. Remove the plaster from the chimney breasts to understand the fireplace aperture and widen using a lintel if required. Clean the brickwork on the chimney breasts using a soft brush and repoint in lime mortar. Install a stone hearth or reclaimed tiles/blocks, to be agreed. Install DEFRA approved multi fuel stoves in each fireplace, with a flue liner running through the existing chimney breasts and suitable chimney cowls. Multi stoves to be fitted by a HETAS engineer and full certification to be obtained.
