Proposal
Esher Conservation Area - The tree is a tulip tree that was planted by the previous owner of the property (in c. 2005) directly beneath the telegraph pole that supports all telephone lines for Park Square. This species of tree can grow to more than fifty feet tall and has already outgrown its environment. The branches are already interfering with the phone lines and the tree roots are also causing a nuisance. The proposal is to completely remove this tree and replace it with a more appropriate and less invasive species, such as a flowering cherry. This would be much more in keeping with the space available in this small cottage garden, in close proximity to a telegraph pole.
