Proposal

T001 Great London Plane tree of Ely - Pruning to the full canopy up to 15% of the trees photosynthesising capacity using the reduction cut technique in the lower and outer parts of the canopy. With general reshaping to maintain a balanced shape overall - (Detailed in the supporting document by AR.ES)- Stabilisation system - Create a four-level bracing system - Agronomic Interventions - Filling of the cavity opened towards the west; For this purpose, a mixture is suggested, consisting of mature and microbiologically stable compost, chipped material derived from the tree's deadwood, and fragmented volcanic rock like pumice or similar, in a ratio of approximately 50%-25%-25%. (As detailed in the supporting document)Below is detail regarding the above stabilisation system proposal provided by arborist carrying out the works;Replacement of the currently existing metal consolidations with new metal and textile consolidations in static, semi-static and dynamic configurations. Implementation of the consolidations with a new higher level of consolidation to create a gradient of greater dynamism from the bottom to the top.LEVEL I: the existing lower consolidation cables (embedded in the bark) will be maintained and their clamps will be replaced;LEVEL II: removal of the existing central consolidation and installation of a new consolidation with a semi-static system;LEVEL III: removal of the existing upper consolidation and installation of a system of metal cables made dynamic and controlled by interposed springs;LEVEL IV: installation of a new upper dynamic consolidation made with special textile-type arboricultural cables;SECTOR V LOWER BRANCH: removal of the existing metal consolidation and installation of a new consolidation made with special textile-type arboricultural cables
