T1 Ash Tree - Fell tree. Root plate inspection restricted in part by extremely large fungal fruiting bodies of perenniporia fraxinea on almost all sides of the stem at just above ground level, extending 50cm out from the stem. Rest of root plate shows no signs of disturbance. Stem inspection restricted by fungal fruiting bodies. Stem has bottle butt most likely the tree reacting to the simultaneous white rot caused by the fungi. Crown has been kept as a pollard at 6m above ground level. Basal decay, cavities in base, cavities in stem are likely due to the size of the fungal fruiting bodies and the hollow noises from sounding hammer tests on the stem around the areas. Fungus: Perenniporia fraxinea
