Description Fell split and compromised Lime Trees. The northernmost lime split in half yesterday with the failed stem landing on a boundary wall. The remaining part of this tree has been compromised and is no longer stable and likely to fail. Therefore the remainder of the tree requires removal. An inspection of the adjacent tree revealed it to be in a worse structural (main union compromised) and physiological condition (crown entered into a very sudden decline) than the one that failed and given that its failure would mean a stem collapsing on to a house I consider these works to be exempt under the 2012 Regs
