Proposal

T3 -Yew /G6 Various- Yew X2 Protected by blanket TPO , We propose to carry out a light, balanced crown reduction of up to 50cm on the 3 TPO - protected yew trees situated within the rear garden. The reduction is intended to improve light penetration to the surrounding lawn and planting beds which are currently heavily shaded by the dense evergreen canopy. The work will be carried out sympathetically to preserve the trees natural form and structural integrity. The reduction will be minimal, maintaining the trees overall shape and symmetry, while removing no more than 50cm from the outer crown in all directions. The work will be done selectively, focusing on the outermost growth, and will not involve any reduction to the main scaffold limbs or trunk, Objectives- . Increase natural light levels in the garden for plant health and enjoyment. Retain the trees overall character and contribution to the local landscape. Maintain crown symmetry and natural appearance . Encourage a healthy crown structure and future growth.G4 - Yew treeWorks Proposed - 1, Selective reduction of lateral branches encroaching on the adjacent garage structure to give approximately 1-1.5 metres clearance. 2, Uniform crown reduction of the group by up to 50cm in height and spread to reduce canopy dominance, allow more light into the garden and maintain balanced crown form.Reasons for Work - . Prevent physical contact and potential damage to the garage roof and guttering . Improve light levels in the garden and reduce overshadowing . Contain the group within a more appropriate scale for the domestic setting . Maintain good arboricultural management of the trees while preserving their character.
