Proposal
T5 Cedar, the proposal is to prune back and effect a lateral reduction of some of the eastern branches and a couple of the northern branched only as required to maintain balanced foliage on each limb. The proposal is to reduce to natural union points only to result in a canopy of natural form that is balanced with the tree's western radial spread and to allow the amenity contribution to be maintained. The proposed reduction would be no more than 2m only apply to those particular branches that are longer than the others and in many of other branches it would be up to 1.5m and only as required in order to effect a balanced form. The branches are not balanced - on the eastern side there are more branches which are also denser, longer, larger and heavier, as well as a couple on the northern side. This balanced effect should contribute to the overall amenity health (and possible safety) of the tree.
