Proposal
T1 London Plane - As an alternative to tree removal, the installation of a root barrier is proposed to mitigate the influence of T1. STEP 1:Initial phase of the project involves excavation of an investigative shallow trench (5.5m from the tree) to determine if substantial structural roots are present. Please see 'Planned trench locations - 22.01.2025'. STEP 2: If on completion of the shallow trench no substantial structural roots are discovered, the root barrier trench will be excavated in sections by a 13-ton tracked excavator to a target depth of 6.0-meters. This depth is the maximum that is achievable given the site restrictions and the proximity to the building. Please see 'MWA Root Barrier Project Proposal - The Chapel 22.01.2025 - Revised to 6m'.
