Root 1 - Prune the 2no individual 24mm and 22mm diameter roots behind the graft back to a suitable growth point, using a sharp tool to leave as small a wound as possible. This will be in the planting bed approx 1.2-1.3m from the tree stem. Backfill around the root with a mix of clean topsoil with Biochar fertiliser containing Potassium phosphite to improve the trees natural defences against pathogens.2. This will be in the planting bed approx 1.2-1.3m from the tree stem. Backfill around the root as of Root 1. 3. Expose Roots 1 and 2 beneath the paving and remove as much of the woody material as possible.
