Proposal
The liquid amber tree (which is the nearest to the sitting area and the furthest of three liquid amber trees from the road) was badly damaged in the storm on Friday 23 August 2024. The storm broke off the top half of the tree which came down in two substantial portions. The damage has created:1. a badly severed main trunk 2. further down a fissure in the remaining trunk and 3. a tree that is now leaning. The tree is severely compromised in terms of health and appearance and is leaning towards the seating area in the garden. We are concerned that it may become unsafe and if it fell over it could do more damage. It is proposed to fell the tree and replace it with another tree suitable for a garden. We planted the tree about 15 years ago. The tree is marked on the plan.
