Proposal
The tree is a semi mature beech approximately 13 metres from a house and 15 metres from a public road. The tree has recently shed a limb which hit the house causing a small amount of damage to the roof. It is approximately 30m tall, is leaning slightly towards the house and is ivy covered. There is no suggestion that the root plate is lifting rather that it has grown away from other trees towards light hence the slight lean.It is proposed to remove the tree to ground level reducing the risk to property. There are many trees in this area of what makes up part of the formal garden for Preston House and the removal of this tree will not negatively impact the conservation area.
