Proposal

The trees making up this application are all in the formal garden of Preston House. They are marked on the attached sketch map and numbered. The actual trees will have an orange paint dot marked on the stem along with the relevant number. The garden is intensively managed and a key part of the Preston Farms estate owned by the Sainsbury family. All 5 trees in question are in poor health, two are dead (trees 2 & 3) and the other 3 have shown signs of significant stress for the last 2 growing season which manifested itself in early senescence and sap bleeding. It is proposed to remove the trees to ground level and remove all arisings from the site.Replacement trees will be planted in the next planting season.
