Proposal
The area concerned is approximately 100 square metres comprising around 100 stems of Hornbeam, Beech and Silver Birch up to 6cm in diameter. This small block of young trees will be coppiced to regenerate a dense scrubby habitat that once again attracts nesting birds and increases structural diversity within the woodland. None of the trees specified will be felled or removed, only coppiced. The area for the works will be identified by high visibility hazard tape as it's not practical to tag or paint so many trees so close together within the woodland.
