Part of the area covered by the application is designated as ASNW. It is area of Kent Downs National Landscape. The woodland is adjacent to Kent Gliding Club and covered by TPO. The conifers dominating the area have reached the height of 20-25m and are posing safety risk for gliders. Because of this the club is proposing to fell the area.
